Spatial concentration of creative industries and location of creative clusters in Poland

Abstract The authors compared the geographical distribution of creative clusters in Poland with spatial LQ (Location Quotient) measuring concentration entities a given area. study aimed to answer following questions: what is clustering potential for industries?, which municipalities are home forming clusters?, and, above all, actually formed areas offering greatest this respect? In order find answers questions, carried out two sub-analyses. first led conclusion that only 1.9% offer conditions specialisations, including formation (LQ > 1.25). next step involved comparison being actual clusters. did not observe any relationship between value reflecting industries and size active correlation coefficient number cluster members was positive but weak. It shows locations best terms members. Therefore, there other factors behind structures. Nevertheless, local should be main driving force because it one crucial components favourable building economic specialisation foundation on proper structures built on.
